Samsung & Android Repairs
Every Android screen guide we publish sits under this hub. Work through the routes for the Samsung series, the other Android brands and the panel choices, then the sections on what catches shops out.

Three routes, and you only need one of them
Take the route that matches the handset on the bench.
Samsung Galaxy
Take this route for the highest-volume Android family in the UK. The S, A, Note and Z series each behave differently on the bench, and the A series has more variant differences than most.
Pixel, Huawei and Xiaomi
Take this route for the brands where panel sourcing varies most between suppliers and where the same model name covers different screens.
Honor, Oppo, OnePlus and the rest
Take this route for the families that arrive less often but where the part is harder to source quickly. Ordering the right variant first time matters more here.
What catches shops out on Android
Two problems account for most Android screen comebacks, and both start before the phone is opened.
Variant confusion
Android model names cover more ground than iPhone names do: the same marketing name can ship with different panels in different regions, and a 4G and 5G version of one handset can take different parts. That is why the guides here start with matching rather than with the repair. Confirming the variant through the model code is the single step that prevents the wrong panel being ordered and fitted.
Adhesive, frames and teardown order
Android handsets vary more in construction than iPhone generations do. Some panels come bonded to the mid-frame, some come as a bare display, and the teardown order changes with each family: which flex disconnects first, whether the battery has to come out, and where the adhesive is heaviest. Working from the family-specific guide rather than from general experience is what keeps the repair predictable.
What actually decides an Android screen job — four things
Four variables, and the first one is where most of the risk sits.
Confirming the variant
The same name can cover different panels by region and by 4G or 5G. Model codes settle it before anything is ordered.
Display with or without frame
Some models are far easier as a display-and-frame assembly. Choosing the wrong option doubles the job or the risk.
Adhesive and mid-frame condition
Android chassis often need the frame inspected as well as the glass, because a bent frame will crack the next panel fitted.
Panel grade availability
Aftermarket grades vary more between brands than between iPhone generations, so what you can quote depends on what actually exists for that model.
Where to go from here
Android repairs share most of their bench work with the iPhone guides.
Samsung and Android questions
The short answers, each linked to the article set behind it.
Why do two Galaxy A phones with the same name take different screens?
Because the A series ships in regional variants and in 4G and 5G versions that are not always the same hardware. The panel, the flex layout or the frame can differ between them, so the model code rather than the marketing name is what you order against.
Is it better to buy the display with the frame?
Often yes on Android, because the panel comes pre-bonded and the job becomes a straight swap rather than a separation and re-bond. It costs more for the part and less for the time, and it avoids the risk of damaging the frame during transfer.
Do Android phones need parts pairing after a screen replacement?
Less often than recent iPhones, but some models do report parts and some features depend on the display being recognised. The model guides state where this applies so the expectation is set before the job is quoted.
What grades are available for Samsung panels?
It varies by generation and by how popular the model is. Common models usually have several grades including refurbished original and aftermarket; less common ones may only have one option, which is worth knowing before promising a price.
Why is a foldable screen repair so much more expensive?
Because the display is a different class of component, with a folding layer that cannot be separated the way a flat panel can, and the parts supply is narrower. That is why foldable jobs are often quoted as a module replacement rather than a glass repair.
Send the model code and we will confirm the panel
Give us the exact model code for the handsets you are quoting, and the volume you handle. You will get the panel options that genuinely fit those variants, with trade pricing and the frame-or-bare choice explained.
